MITA news: improved conditions for business internationalization

The Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA) has approved new framework to encourage enterprises to participate in international research, experimental development and innovation (R&D&I) programs, which will help companies to develop international projects and find partners for their implementation.
The framework supports participation in international partner search events, training seminars and project meetings. In addition, companies will be able to organize international  meetings in Lithuania in the preparation of project applications. Businesses that are eligible to participate can choose on their own according to their needs and apply for funding on a regular basis.
In this way, MITA hopes to promote business internationalization initiatives that bring the most value for money to each individual applicant. Additionally, having assessed the significance of the event and its potential for the companies, MITA will organize joint business networking missions to the most important ones.
For selected companies MITA will cover main costs associated with attending events, such as travel, accommodation, event tickets, insurance and other expenses. MITA Director Kęstutis Šetkus invites to take advantage of the opportunity to expand activities abroad: “Participation in international research and innovation programs provides a good opportunity to establish and strengthen cooperation with foreign partners, exchange knowledge and develop new products and services together. Leading international projects and taking part in them is a confirmation that the company is on the right track and its activities are recognized internationally, which enables the expansion into international markets”, says K. Šetkus.
